Workflow statuses

Each workflow can have several predefined statuses couple of which you can set manually.

Disabled

Workflow having this status never be loaded and executed. You are unable to select disabled workflow as nested workflow. Any workflow gets this status temporarily during saving it in the admin editor to guarantee integrity of executing workflow.

This state workflow gets immediately in these cases:

Newly created workflow
Workflow has been loaded from a file
Workflow has been cloned

Enabled

Workflow is ready to run and will be executed by firing a trigger or can be called from another workflow.

Broken

This means that the workflow is not ready to start and will not be executed under any circumstances even though you have enabled it manually (it has Enabled status). Workflows gets this status automatically if something wrong with its structure. You need to check the workflow in the editor to find out cause.
